Assessment
Emissions assessment is the booking route for AdBlue/SCR warning messages, NOx faults, DPF-related symptoms and countdown enquiries before repair or software work is agreed.
AdBlue and SCR faults do not always point to one answer. PPG starts warning-light and countdown enquiries with an emissions assessment, then separates the correct route clearly: compliant repair for road vehicles, cleaner support where deposits are the issue, or a £350 AdBlue solution only where the vehicle use is lawful, off-road, export or exempt.
Clear boundary: SCR/AdBlue bypass or emissions-control defeat is not offered as a road-use fix. Permanent solutions are discussed only for lawful off-road, export, motorsport, plant, agricultural, private-land or exempt applications.
Assessment, repair and software boundary
AdBlue solution is a tuning/software route for suitable vehicles where the use case is lawful. If the vehicle has warning lights, countdowns or an unclear SCR/NOx fault, the correct first booking is emissions assessment.
The AdBlue solution is £350 including VAT where the vehicle and use case are suitable. Emissions assessment is a separate diagnostic booking used when the workshop needs to confirm the fault evidence before repair, cleaner support or software work is agreed.
Three separate routes
The right answer depends on how the vehicle is used and what has actually failed. PPG will not force every AdBlue warning into the same box.
Emissions assessment is the booking route for AdBlue/SCR warning messages, NOx faults, DPF-related symptoms and countdown enquiries before repair or software work is agreed.
For cars and vans used on public roads, the correct route is compliant diagnosis and repair: NOx sensors, pump, injector, tank, wiring, crystallisation and SCR faults checked properly.
For lawful non-road or exempt use cases, a permanent AdBlue/SCR software service can be discussed separately after the vehicle and use case have been assessed.
Common faults
The PPG process
The vehicle decides the route. PPG checks the fault evidence, explains the legal boundary and confirms the ECU state after repair or software work.
Fault codes, live data and the actual dashboard warning are reviewed.
NOx, pump, injector, wiring, dosing and SCR behaviour are considered where supported.
PPG explains whether repair or a lawful permanent route is the correct answer.
After repair or software work, a post-scan checks the ECU state and remaining faults.
Permanent fix where lawful
Where the use case is lawful, a permanent software solution can take the AdBlue system out of the equation.
If the vehicle is used on public roads and must remain emissions compliant, PPG will advise on diagnosis and repair rather than presenting SCR/AdBlue removal as a legal road fix.
Repair still matters
Where the system must stay working, the fault needs fixed properly.
Incorrect NOx readings can trigger SCR efficiency faults and countdown warnings even when fluid has been filled.
Blocked injectors, filler neck deposits and dosing-line build-up can restrict the system and create repeat faults.
Pressure, heater, level, quality and pump issues need confirmed before expensive parts or software decisions are made.
Cleaner support
For crystallisation and deposit problems, PPG also offers its own concentrated AdBlue anti crystal cleaner. If the vehicle already has warnings, countdowns or stored SCR faults, assessment is still recommended first.
One vial treats up to 10 litres of AdBlue at the recommended dosage.
Designed to treat existing crystallisation and help reduce further deposit build-up.
If the vehicle already has warnings, countdowns or stored SCR faults, assessment is still recommended first.
FAQs
Yes, where the vehicle and use case are legally permitted. For lawful off-road, export, motorsport, plant, agricultural, private-land or exempt use, PPG can discuss a permanent AdBlue/SCR software solution to take the system out of the equation.
For vehicles used on public roads, emissions equipment must remain compliant. PPG will advise on diagnosis and repair of the AdBlue/SCR system rather than selling SCR/AdBlue removal as a legal road-use fix.
The AdBlue solution is £350 including VAT where the vehicle and use case are suitable. Emissions assessment is booked separately when the fault cause or correct route needs confirmed first.
No. Many warnings need component testing, repair, cleaner support or wiring diagnosis. The correct route depends on the fault evidence.
Checks can include NOx sensors, pump pressure, dosing injector operation, tank signals, wiring, module communication, fluid condition and stored SCR faults.

A carbon clean can help the right vehicle, but warning lights, limp mode, smoke or DPF faults should be diagnosed first. PPG checks the cause before recommending cleaning.
