Privacy notice

This notice explains how Prestige Performance Group Ltd uses personal information for enquiries, workshop services, bookings, payments and customer support.

Who is responsible

Prestige Performance Group Ltd, company NI700911, is the controller for its own customer and enquiry records. Contact us at info@prestigeperformancegroup.co.uk, 02891 314318, or 36A Donaghadee Road, Newtownards, BT23 7EU. Use these details for privacy questions or to exercise your rights.

Information we collect

Depending on your enquiry or service, we collect contact and billing details; vehicle registration, specification, mileage and service history; symptoms, diagnostic results, photographs, module identifiers and software records; booking, authorisation and accepted-terms records; payment references and invoices; and relevant communications, complaints and warranty information. Website security and server records may include IP address, request details and device/browser information. Only provide information relevant to the service and avoid including other people's personal information without authority.

Why we use it and our lawful bases

Information needed to quote, book or perform a service is required for those purposes. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to proceed. Optional marketing is not a condition of receiving a service.

Sources and service tools

Most information comes from you or your authorised representative. Where used for your enquiry, vehicle-lookup services may provide vehicle specification data from registration details. We also create diagnostic and workshop records. Website tools may suggest a service or display estimated information; contact us for a human review of suitability or a booking issue.

Who information may be shared with

Information relevant to the purpose may be processed by hosting, IT/security, communications and payment providers; by technicians and service providers involved in authorised work; and by professional advisers, insurers or authorities where necessary and lawful. Payment providers, including Stripe where selected, process payment information under their own notices. We use payment references and status information; entering card details is handled through the selected payment provider. If you choose to contact us using a third-party messaging or social platform, that platform also processes information under its own terms and privacy notice.

International processing

Some technology, payment or communications providers may process information outside the UK. Where we make a restricted international transfer, applicable data-protection safeguards are required, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards with any necessary supplementary protections. Contact us for information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your record.

How long information is kept

We retain information for the time needed to handle the enquiry, contract, warranty or complaint, then only where needed for applicable accounting/tax requirements, security, unresolved matters or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. The period depends on the type of record, the service, the applicable legal retention and claim periods, and whether a dispute or hold remains active. Records no longer needed for a lawful purpose should be deleted or anonymised. Marketing preferences and suppression information are retained as needed to respect your choices.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing and withdraw consent at any time. Rights can be limited where information must be retained or processing is otherwise justified by law. We may need reasonable identity information before disclosing records. We will respond within the applicable legal time limit; the workshop's ordinary complaints timescale does not extend data-protection deadlines.

Cookies and optional marketing

Use the site's cookie choices for non-essential tracking. You can also control cookies in your browser. Optional email marketing has a separate choice and can be stopped using the unsubscribe route in a marketing message or by contacting us. A booking acknowledgement, terms receipt, payment notice or service update is not an agreement to receive marketing.

Complaints and changes

Please contact us about a privacy concern. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office without first completing our workshop complaints process. We will keep this notice accurate and explain significant new uses of information as required by law. A change to this notice does not create a new lawful basis or waive your rights.
