No Cheap Flush Mentality
We use a controlled on-car process and do not dress up a basic forced regeneration as a professional clean.
One of PPG's most requested services, handled properly: assessment first, professional-grade cleaning chemistry, controlled procedure and post-clean data checks where the vehicle supports it.
Assessment first is the safest route. Cleaning is not always the answer. If the filter is physically failed, melted, cracked, missing internally or too ash-loaded, a chemical clean is not the fix.
Built around results
The result depends on the filter condition, the cause of the blockage, the chemistry used, the process followed and whether the vehicle can complete proper regeneration afterwards.
We use a controlled on-car process and do not dress up a basic forced regeneration as a professional clean.
No compromise on the cleaning chemical. The aim is to break down soot loading safely where the filter is physically suitable.
Where the vehicle supports it, pressure readings and live data are reviewed after cleaning so the improvement looks credible.
Assessment first
If the root cause is ignored, even a strong clean can be wasted. We look at fault data and suitability before recommending on-car cleaning.

Workshop process
The aim is to know whether on-car cleaning is a sensible route before spending money on the wrong fix.
Fault codes and freeze-frame context are reviewed where supported by the vehicle.
Differential pressure and temperature behaviour help decide whether the filter looks recoverable.
Sensor, boost, EGR, thermostat and injector issues are considered as likely repeat-blockage causes.
On-car cleaning is recommended only when the filter condition and vehicle data support it.
Watch the soot break down
This is what the service can look like when the restriction starts expelling built-up soot. The aim is to break down the blockage, flush it through and restore exhaust flow without removing the DPF where assessment says on-car cleaning is suitable.
The clean is recommended only after suitability has been considered.
A controlled chemical process, not just a basic forced regeneration.
Post-clean checks are reviewed where the vehicle supports sensible comparison.
Price and suitability
The price covers the controlled on-car DPF cleaning service after suitability has been checked. Cleaning is not a promise that every DPF can be recovered.
If the filter is physically failed, melted, cracked, missing internally or too ash-loaded, PPG will not pretend a chemical clean is the answer.
What it is not
A cheap forced regeneration or chemical flush can miss the reason the filter blocked in the first place. We would rather tell you the truth than sell the wrong fix.
On-car DPF cleaning does not repair a failed sensor, split boost pipe, thermostat issue, EGR fault, injector problem or exhaust leak. Those faults may need separate work.
Pressure readings can improve after a suitable clean, but PPG does not guarantee that every DPF can be recovered or that the fault will not return if the cause remains.
PPG does not promote DPF removal for road vehicles. The correct route is diagnosis, suitable cleaning and repair where lawful and appropriate.
FAQs
No. Some filters are too damaged, ash-loaded or blocked by an unresolved fault. Those vehicles may need repair, off-car cleaning or replacement instead.
A forced regeneration can help in the right case, but it does not remove the need to understand why the filter blocked. Our service is built around suitability, controlled cleaning and result checks.
Only if the filter can recover and the underlying cause is addressed. If a sensor, EGR, boost, thermostat, injector or driving-pattern issue remains, the DPF can block again.
You are paying for the decision-making, chemical process, controlled clean and advice on faults, journey pattern or maintenance issues that could cause repeat blockage.

A carbon clean can help the right vehicle, but warning lights, limp mode, smoke or DPF faults should be diagnosed first. PPG checks the cause before recommending cleaning.
