Sound familiar?

What is your car telling you?

You don’t need to know the fault code.
Start with what you’ve noticed.

Warning lights

Engine management light, rough running or difficult starting. Find out what triggered the warning.

Check the warning

Limp mode

Sudden loss of power, hesitation or no boost under load. Trace the reason performance has dropped.

Investigate power loss

DPF & AdBlue

DPF light, failed regeneration or an AdBlue countdown. Check the system and its sensor readings.

Check emissions faults

Electrical faults

Intermittent warnings, non-starts or modules that won’t communicate. Follow the fault through the network.

Trace the fault
From symptoms to answers

A clear route forward.

A fault code gives us a starting point. Testing helps us understand the cause.

Tell us what happens

We listen to the symptoms, when they appear and what work has already been tried.

We scan & test

We check relevant modules, live readings and system behaviour to investigate the fault.

Understand the next step

We explain the findings and recommend a repair route or further testing where needed.

Look beyond the fault code

The right checks.
A better explanation.

A warning can have several possible causes. We compare fault history with live data and physical checks, choosing tests to suit your vehicle’s symptoms.

  • Fault codes & history
  • Live data analysis
  • Sensor plausibility
  • Actuator response
  • DPF pressure readings
  • AdBlue & NOx faults
  • Boost & fuel systems
  • CAN communication

Know what happens next.

You’ll get an explanation of the fault path found and practical advice on the next step for your vehicle.

A few useful answers.

Tell us about the symptoms →

Is a scan the same as a diagnosis?

A scan reads stored fault codes. Diagnosis uses those codes alongside symptoms, live data and testing to investigate the actual cause.

Can you investigate DPF and AdBlue faults?

Yes. We check DPF soot loading, failed regeneration, differential pressure readings, AdBlue countdowns, NOx faults and related emissions issues.

Can you repair the car after diagnosis?

Where the repair is within our workshop services, yes. If specialist parts or further work are needed, we will explain the route clearly.

What should I bring to the appointment?

Tell us the warning message, when the problem happens and any recent work. Photos of intermittent warnings and fault codes already recorded can also help.

Where is the workshop?

Find us at 36A Donaghadee Road, Newtownards, BT23 7EU. We welcome drivers from Bangor, Belfast, Comber, Dundonald, Holywood and across Northern Ireland.

Carbon cleaning that starts with diagnosis

A carbon clean can help the right vehicle, but warning lights, limp mode, smoke or DPF faults should be diagnosed first. PPG checks the cause before recommending cleaning.
