These points are a guide. Read the relevant clauses below for their full conditions. These terms record our policies from incorporation. Each booking remains subject to the terms disclosed and validly agreed when its contract was made. Expanded wording does not retrospectively introduce an obligation or restriction that was not part of that contract.

01

Booking & payment

What you authorise, reserved workshop time and cancellation rights.

Prestige Performance Group Ltd ("PPG", "we", "us"). Incorporated on 25 August 2023. Registered company number NI700911. VAT number 489 3329 43.

These terms cover our workshop, mobile, assessment, cleaning, testing, repair, programming and related services, and parts supplied with them. Any separate shop, postal-service or digital-file terms must also be supplied before the relevant order. They do not remove statutory rights.

We will carry out services with reasonable care and skill, comply with binding descriptions and commitments, charge the agreed price or a reasonable price where none is agreed, and complete work within the agreed time or a reasonable time where none is agreed. Parts we supply to consumers must meet applicable requirements for quality, fitness and description, taking account of their disclosed condition, including whether used or refurbished.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. A limitation elsewhere in these terms does not override this section. Voluntary warranties and guarantees are additional to statutory rights.

We will make these terms and relevant service information available before you commit. A booking becomes binding when we accept it and confirm the service, appointment and required booking payment. An automated enquiry acknowledgement is not acceptance unless it expressly confirms the booking. Payments for an order we decline will be returned.

The agreed service description, price, authorised time or spending limit, relevant risks and any specific promised result form part of the contract. A quotation is a fixed price for its stated scope unless clearly described as an estimate. An estimate is an informed prediction, not permission to incur unlimited cost.

Information about us or the service that you rely on may be legally binding, including verbal statements. Please ask us to record important requirements in writing to avoid misunderstandings. A general disclaimer cannot cancel an expressly agreed outcome or legally binding statement. Changes to an existing contract require agreement; later website updates do not change it automatically.

You must own the vehicle or module or have authority from its owner to instruct the work. Tell us about finance, leasing, fleet or warranty restrictions relevant to the work. We may reasonably request proof of authority, ownership or identity, particularly for security-related module work.

Disclose known faults, warning lights, previous tuning, emissions changes, accident or flood damage, electrical alterations, engine or gearbox replacements, recent repairs and relevant security devices. Supply accurate symptoms and requested keys, locking-wheel keys, codes and access information. You are not required to identify faults you could not reasonably know about.

Non-running vehicles, recovery-truck arrivals and transported vehicles require our prior written acceptance. Do not leave a vehicle more than 15 minutes before its appointment or outside agreed opening or drop-off arrangements. Tell us before arrival if a vehicle is unsafe to start, move or test. Do not drive a vehicle against a safety warning.

We generally do not accept Jaguar or Land Rover work. Any exception requires written agreement before booking and remains subject to our normal duties of care. Walnut blasting is unavailable unless we specifically confirm otherwise before accepting the booking. Historic advertising does not by itself confirm current availability; binding information already given for an accepted contract remains effective.

We may reasonably refuse or pause work because of safety, technical unsuitability, lack of authority, undisclosed material condition, abusive conduct or non-payment of an amount lawfully due. We will explain the reason and discuss practical options. Charges are limited to authorised work properly performed and other amounts lawfully due; unused prepayments will be returned. This does not permit arbitrary cancellation or forfeiture.

Before work starts, we will state the service scope, price or rate, any minimum charge and billing increments, the authorised time or spending limit, and foreseeable separate charges. Prices presented to consumers include VAT and other unavoidable charges. No optional extra is accepted through a preselected choice or silence.

We need your express approval before exceeding the agreed limit or carrying out additional chargeable work. Approval may be given in person, by telephone, email, message or the booking system; we will record it. A fixed-price job cannot be repriced unilaterally. If you cannot be contacted, we will pause at the authorised limit and take reasonable steps to protect the vehicle. An urgent safety step is not permission for unlimited chargeable repairs.

The booking fee reserves the specific appointment slot and workshop resources identified in your booking confirmation. The amount, date, start time, reserved duration and whether the fee is credited against the service price will be stated before you pay. It is not an additional charge unless clearly disclosed and agreed. Unless a separate arrangement is expressly agreed before booking, the fee is credited against the agreed service price.

We commit to keeping that slot available for your agreed service throughout its reserved duration, whether or not you attend, unless you cancel, agree to release or move the slot, or we have a lawful reason to suspend or cancel. Non-attendance does not itself cancel the reservation or create an automatic right to a refund. Late arrival does not extend the reserved end time; we will explain what can reasonably and safely be completed in the remaining time. The fee is for reserving time, not a promise of a diagnosis, completed repair or particular result beyond the agreed service.

We do not offer an automatic discretionary refund simply because you change your mind, miss the appointment or do not use the reserved time. However, describing the fee as payment for a slot does not remove statutory cancellation rights or permit a disproportionate charge. If you cancel, ask to reschedule, or do not attend, any amount retained must be fair and proportionate to our actual net loss, taking account of costs saved and any replacement booking. We will take reasonable steps to reduce loss where possible and will not deliberately leave a cancelled slot unsold merely to justify retaining the fee. We will explain the calculation on request and refund any excess. An unavoidable loss may justify retaining the whole fee; retention is not automatic in every case.

You may change your appointment once without a change fee if we receive your request at least 72 hours before the confirmed appointment start time. The booking fee transfers to the replacement appointment, subject to availability and agreement. After this first customer-requested change, any further customer-requested change is chargeable, even if more than 72 hours’ notice is given. A request made with less than 72 hours’ notice does not qualify for the free change. Before accepting the original booking, we will explain how any chargeable change will be calculated: reasonable administration time at the disclosed rate plus unavoidable net loss of reserved workshop time, less costs saved and replacement bookings. If no administration rate was disclosed, no separate administration fee will be imposed for that booking. We will provide the calculation, disclose the proposed amount and obtain your agreement before confirming a chargeable change. Any charge must be reasonable and proportionate to the administration costs and actual net loss caused, allowing for costs saved and replacement bookings; it is not an automatic forfeiture or penalty. We will not recover the same cost or lost time twice. Changes initiated by PPG do not use your free change or attract a customer change fee. This policy does not charge you for exercising a statutory cancellation right or obtaining a remedy for our breach. Section 8 takes priority. Accepting payment or entering a slot in the diary does not by itself fully perform a booking or reservation service.

If we cancel without your fault or cannot make the agreed slot available, you may choose a replacement appointment or a refund for the reservation and services not supplied. Other rights arising from our breach remain unaffected. If you cancel after authorised work starts, work properly completed remains chargeable subject to statutory cancellation rules and remedies. Special-order costs must have been disclosed and agreed and are recoverable only where lawful and reasonably unavoidable.

Where statutory cancellation rights apply to a service booked online, by telephone or away from our premises, you may cancel without giving a reason within 14 days after the day the service contract is made. Tell us by a clear statement by email to info@prestigeperformancegroup.co.uk, by post to Prestige Performance Group Ltd, 36A Donaghadee Road, Newtownards, BT23 7EU, or by telephone on 02891 314318. You can use the cancellation form in section 29, but do not have to. Sending your cancellation before the deadline is sufficient.

We will provide the required cancellation information and contract confirmation in a durable form, such as email. Failure to provide required information can extend cancellation rights. An appointment within 14 days does not by itself remove them.

We will start a service during this period only at your express request, recorded on a durable medium where required. If you then cancel before completion, we may charge a proportionate amount for service actually supplied only where the legal requirements for that charge have been met. For a service-only contract, you lose this cancellation right after full performance only if you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged beforehand that the right would be lost on completion.

Refunds required on cancellation will be made within the applicable statutory period, normally 14 days after we are informed, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee. Goods, mixed goods-and-services contracts and digital content have different rules. We will provide the relevant information before ordering; starting labour does not automatically cancel rights relating to goods. Where an applicable exception is relied on, we will explain its specific basis before the contract is made.

02

Assessment, cleaning & testing

The scope of investigative work, cleaning and module testing.

Diagnostics and DPF assessments are investigative, time-based services unless a different scope is expressly agreed. The charge pays for authorised technician time, inspection, testing, interpretation and reporting, rather than the purchase of a guaranteed diagnosis or repair. The agreed rate, minimum charge, increments and initial time limit will be disclosed before authorisation. A fixed-price assessment includes only the investigative time stated in the booking or quotation; the price is not authority to charge indefinitely. No additional diagnostic time is chargeable without approval of its rate and spending limit.

Assessment may identify several possible causes, no reproducible fault, an unsuitable filter, a need for removal or specialist testing, or the need for further investigation. A fault code alone is not proof that a particular component needs replacement. We will explain material findings, limitations and recommended next steps. Further assessment or repair requires separate authorisation.

An assessment is not a whole-vehicle inspection, MOT, roadworthiness certificate or promise to detect every hidden, intermittent or future fault. These limits do not excuse failure to carry out the agreed assessment competently or fulfil an expressly agreed result.

Payment for authorised labour properly carried out is final in the sense that we do not offer a discretionary change-of-mind refund for that completed work. This includes DPF assessments, on-car DPF cleaning, off-car DPF cleaning, ECU testing and BSI testing, together with other agreed diagnostic or module-testing work.

No fault found, an intermittent fault not occurring during testing, a module proving unrepairable, a filter needing replacement, or further work being needed does not by itself make a properly performed assessment, test or cleaning service refundable. This applies only where we supplied the agreed service with reasonable care and skill and did not promise a different result.

Work not performed is not treated as completed labour. If work is stopped for technical or safety reasons, we will explain what was completed and apply the agreed charging basis; we will not automatically charge for a complete cleaning or repair that was not supplied. Statutory cancellation rights, remedies for breach, applicable warranties and the remap guarantee in section 15 take priority over this section. Payment or collection does not waive a complaint or legal remedy.

DPF cleaning treats contamination or restriction within the agreed scope. It does not repair a cracked, melted, missing, worn or chemically damaged filter substrate, or automatically repair the engine, sensors, injectors, turbocharger, EGR, SCR/AdBlue system or other underlying cause. Cleaning alone cannot promise freedom from warning lights, successful regeneration, an MOT pass or prevention of future blockage unless a specific result has been agreed.

For on-car cleaning, we assess suitability and may stop if conditions make cleaning or regeneration unsafe or inappropriate. Removal, dismantling, replacement parts, repairs and further assessment are separate unless included in the quotation.

For off-car cleaning, confirm whether the agreed price covers a supplied loose filter or also includes removal and refitting. Where practicable, we record condition and relevant before-and-after readings and explain any test limitations. Improved flow does not prove the entire emissions system is fault-free. We will not knowingly proceed with chargeable cleaning we consider unsuitable without explaining any proposed investigative purpose and obtaining approval.

You must follow reasonable written aftercare advice and arrange recommended root-cause repairs. We are not responsible for repeat restriction to the extent caused by unresolved faults, contamination, unsuitable use or subsequent third-party work, rather than our breach. A recurrence alone does not prove either defective cleaning or customer misuse; the cause must be assessed fairly.

For eligible cleaning following our assessment, our voluntary process warranty runs from completion for three months for on-car cleaning and six months for off-car cleaning. We will confirm eligibility, relevant findings and any specific supporting repair requirements in writing before cleaning. We will not shorten an advertised warranty retrospectively or rely on an undisclosed mileage limit.

The warranty covers a failure of the cleaning process within the agreed scope. It does not insure the filter or the whole vehicle against every future fault. A claim may be excluded only to the extent that evidence reasonably establishes a relevant cause outside that scope, such as structural filter damage, oil or coolant contamination, an unresolved fault identified in writing, or use contrary to reasonable aftercare advice. An unrelated missed service or third-party visit does not automatically cancel cover.

Please contact us promptly with the vehicle or filter details and symptoms. Our normal first voluntary remedy is a free inspection and, where appropriate, one free re-clean. This limit applies only to the extra voluntary warranty: it does not restrict statutory repeat performance, a price reduction, refund or other remedy where legally due. If a warranty remedy cannot appropriately resolve the issue, we will explain the available options. Any proposed charge for unrelated investigation must be agreed before it is incurred. Before cleaning, we will give you a written service record confirming the relevant warranty duration, the work covered, supporting repairs needed and any exclusions that actually apply to your filter. The warranty periods above are firm periods for eligible work, not an undefined maximum.

Testing fees cover the agreed inspection and tests, whether the result is faulty, no fault found, inconclusive or beyond economical repair. A bench test can assess only functions supported by the equipment and supplied information; it may not reproduce a fault caused by the vehicle wiring, power supply, network, coding or operating conditions. We will explain relevant limitations before accepting the work and record material findings.

Testing, repair, cloning, unlocking, coding and replacement are separate services unless expressly bundled. A testing fee is not automatically credited against later repairs unless agreed. We will obtain approval for opening, destructive testing or procedures carrying a material risk of irreversible change, explaining that risk first. Testing authorisation alone is not authority for unlimited repair charges.

You must supply accurate part numbers, symptoms and agreed supporting components. Compatibility, immobiliser pairing and a plug-and-play outcome are promised only where included in the agreed service. We may decline security-related work without satisfactory authority. We remain responsible for damage or data loss caused by our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.

03

Remapping & guarantees

Programming, the 30-day / 1,000-mile guarantee and lawful vehicle use.

Remapping changes vehicle software and can increase demands on mechanical and drivetrain components. We will explain material known risks and assess suitability within the agreed scope. Disclosed technical risks do not transfer responsibility for our negligent work to you. All tuning is software-based unless hardware work is expressly included.

Published power, torque and economy figures are estimates unless specifically guaranteed. Actual results depend on condition, fuel, hardware, environmental conditions and measurement method. Dyno testing is included only where stated. Inform your insurer and obtain necessary owner, finance or lease permissions before modification; we cannot guarantee a manufacturer's voluntary warranty will remain unaffected.

An OBD virtual read may use a matching reference file rather than a complete physical backup of the software installed. We will explain relevant backup and recovery limitations before proceeding. Previous tuning, damaged data or unsupported hardware may require additional recovery work, but extra charges require authorisation and will not be passed to you where caused by our breach.

Later manufacturer updates or third-party changes may overwrite a remap. Reapplication covered by the lifetime software warranty below is free of charge. Any reapplication outside an agreed warranty or statutory remedy is chargeable only at a price agreed beforehand. Evidence relevant to a complaint should be preserved where reasonably possible. Code clearing, adaptation resets or third-party access do not automatically establish tampering, cancel cover or remove statutory rights; we will assess their actual effect.

The lifetime software warranty applies only to Stage 1 tuning supplied by PPG; it does not cover any other service. It is personal to the original customer and lasts for that customer's lifetime. It includes, without charge, correction of defects introduced by PPG in the original calibration and reinstallation by PPG of the PPG software originally supplied if it is overwritten by a dealer, manufacturer update or another party. This is cover for the software originally supplied for the tuned vehicle, rather than a promise of free tuning for other vehicles. There is no time or mileage limit on this software warranty. Only PPG may carry out reinstallation under this voluntary lifetime software warranty. Reinstallation by another provider does not qualify for reimbursement under this warranty; this does not restrict any statutory remedy. Contact PPG to arrange reinstallation; we will check that the original software is compatible with the vehicle's current hardware and manufacturer software before proceeding. If a subsequent change prevents safe reinstallation, we will explain the issue and agree a suitable solution with you before doing any work; no additional charge or substitute service will be imposed without your agreement. The software warranty is separate from the 30-day / 1,000-mile money-back guarantee and does not cover independent mechanical faults or wear. Statutory rights and any more favourable warranty already agreed remain unaffected.

Any separate voluntary mechanical or tuning warranty must state its provider, scope, duration, claim process and exclusions before sale. A general reference to a warranty does not promise unrestricted whole-vehicle cover, and these terms do not remove a warranty already advertised or agreed. Relevant exclusions for competition features or third-party modifications must be explained before agreement and applied fairly to the issue concerned.

For a remap sold with our advertised money-back guarantee, you must notify us within 30 days after completion and the vehicle must have travelled no more than 1,000 miles from completion of the remap to restoration to stock by PPG. Both conditions apply. We will arrange a reasonable appointment to restore the software and refund the remap service price once restoration is completed. If we cannot offer a reasonable return appointment within the 30-day period, timely notification preserves the claim. If a return is delayed by PPG, the mileage condition is assessed using reasonable evidence of the odometer reading when you notified us, provided it was no more than 1,000 miles above the completion reading. Reasonable mileage needed for the direct return journey and mileage added by PPG while the vehicle is in our custody will not invalidate an otherwise eligible claim. We will agree a practical return arrangement promptly. Continued use unrelated to a PPG-caused delay does not automatically extend the allowance.

To claim under this voluntary 30-day / 1,000-mile money-back guarantee, restoration to stock must be carried out exclusively by Prestige Performance Group Ltd (PPG), so we can verify and reverse our changes. Restoration by another provider does not qualify for a refund under this voluntary guarantee. Mileage is normally measured using the odometer readings recorded when the remap is completed and when the vehicle is returned to PPG for restoration, before any driving by PPG. The PPG-delay and direct-return-journey rules above apply. The 1,000-mile limit applies where it was clearly disclosed and validly agreed before purchase; it does not retrospectively restrict an earlier guarantee that did not include it. These voluntary conditions do not restrict statutory rights or remedies, including where third-party remedial work is legally justified. Stock restoration may be affected by previous modifications, which must be discussed before the original work.

Separate assessments, parts and other services properly supplied are outside this voluntary refund unless included in the guarantee or required to be refunded by law. No additional restoration or administration fee will be deducted from a refund promised under this guarantee. This guarantee does not replace statutory remedies or permit us to require a return that would unlawfully cause significant inconvenience.

We do not authorise use of a vehicle in a condition that breaches applicable road, safety, emissions or insurance requirements. Original emissions equipment must be maintained as legally required. Removing, bypassing or disabling a DPF, EGR, SCR/AdBlue system or related monitoring can make a vehicle unlawful for public-road use even if it passes a particular test.

We will not supply a modification where doing so would be unlawful. A declaration of 'off-road use' does not itself make work lawful or remove our responsibilities. Any proposed specialist competition or other restricted-use work requires an assessment of its actual lawful basis before acceptance. We may refuse unsuitable work. We will not promise an MOT pass or lawful road use for a non-compliant modification.

04

Your vehicle in our care

Parts, handling, incidents, collection and storage.

Parts we supply remain our responsibility under your contract and applicable law. A manufacturer warranty is additional; we will not make your statutory remedy depend solely on manufacturer approval or require you to pursue the manufacturer instead of us. Where we are legally responsible, necessary inspection, removal, replacement and refitting costs will be handled as required by law. We may reasonably inspect a claimed defect without delaying a remedy unlawfully.

We offer no discretionary change-of-mind return for a used or fitted part unless agreed, but fitting does not remove statutory remedies or applicable distance-sale cancellation rights. We will explain any lawful special-order exception before sale; 'special order' alone does not remove consumer cancellation rights.

Customer-supplied parts are accepted only by agreement. We do not warrant their quality or provenance, but remain responsible for our fitting and advice. We may refuse visibly unsuitable items. Extra labour caused by incorrect or defective supplied parts requires prior approval. We are not responsible for their independent failure except to the extent our breach contributed to it.

For postal work, agree the item list, service, price, packaging requirements and return arrangements before sending. Pack securely, identify the items and retain dispatch evidence. Transit responsibility depends on who arranged carriage and applicable law; we remain responsible where the law places the risk on us. We do not impose a blanket 'all postage at your risk' condition. Any requested insurance or special delivery charge must be agreed. Delays, damage or missing items should be reported promptly without creating an artificial short deadline for legal claims.

We may move and reasonably test-drive vehicles where necessary for the authorised work, using appropriately authorised and insured drivers. Tell us about relevant restrictions beforehand. We will exercise reasonable care while your vehicle, keys, modules and agreed property are in our custody, including in outside parking areas.

Remove valuables and tell us about items or conditions that require special care. We do not provide general insurance against every event, but 'owner's risk' does not excuse our negligence. We will record material pre-existing damage where practicable.

Seized fasteners, brittle connectors, corrosion or worn components may break despite competent work. Where foreseeable, we will explain the risk and seek approval before proceeding. We are not responsible for unavoidable failure caused solely by pre-existing condition, but remain responsible for avoidable damage caused by our breach. Extra replacement work requires authorisation.

19.1 Reporting and claim handling. Notify us promptly of vehicle damage or a road traffic collision connected with our work or an authorised test drive. We will preserve relevant evidence, provide insurance details where required and refer the claim to our appointed insurer. The insurer will normally handle investigation, assessment and any authorised repair or settlement with you or your lawful representative. Notification, inspection or referral is not by itself an admission of liability.

19.2 Prior approval. You must obtain prior written approval from our appointed insurer before entering negotiations with an insurance-assistance provider for an arrangement intended to be authorised or funded by that insurer or to bind PPG or the insurer. Approval must identify the provider, services, agreed rates, maximum duration and financial limit, where applicable. It must be obtained before the relevant commitment is made. This process concerns agreed authorisation and funding; it does not prevent independent advice or a lawful claim for otherwise recoverable loss.

19.3 Limits of authority. Approval is limited to its stated scope and is not open-ended. Any proposed extension, higher rate, substitute provider or additional charge requires further written approval from the party expected to fund it. You and any provider you choose have no authority to contract in PPG’s name or give guarantees on our behalf. An insurer’s approval does not by itself make PPG a party to, or guarantor of, your separate agreement. Nothing here limits an insurer’s lawful authority under its policy or applicable law.

19.4 Accident-management companies. PPG does not work directly or indirectly with accident-management companies. We do not appoint, instruct or authorise them to act for us. Our insurer may, at its own discretion, engage with or appoint an accident-management company or insurance-assistance provider under its own claims-handling arrangements. That decision does not by itself establish a separate appointment, endorsement, payment promise or guarantee by PPG. The insurer remains responsible for its own decisions and for handling lawful third-party representations.

19.5 PPG courtesy vehicle and customer-arranged insurance. PPG makes a courtesy vehicle available to customers as an alternative to an insurance-arranged hire car. If your vehicle is unavailable during agreed repairs following an incident under this section, PPG will provide its courtesy vehicle for the agreed repair period, subject to the insurance and handover requirements below. The vehicle, permitted drivers, loan period and reasonable conditions of use will be confirmed in writing before handover. We will use a separate vehicle-loan agreement recording the vehicle condition, insurance evidence, agreed use, fuel and mileage arrangements, return requirements and any clearly disclosed liabilities. These will not impose charges for PPG-caused loss. A copy of the blank loan record is available on request and will be supplied before you agree to the loan. The customer-insurance condition does not relieve PPG of any duty to ensure it does not cause or permit uninsured use. PPG provides the vehicle only and does not provide motor insurance. You must arrange suitable cover with your own insurance company, pay any applicable insurance premium or fee, and maintain that cover for the entire period the courtesy vehicle is on loan to you, including any agreed extension until its return. Your insurer must specifically confirm cover for the courtesy vehicle, every permitted driver and the agreed use, including third-party liability and loss of or damage to the courtesy vehicle. Provide written confirmation from your insurer, including the cover start and end dates, before handover. If the loan is extended, obtain and provide confirmation of extended cover before the existing cover expires. We will not release the courtesy vehicle for use without this evidence. You must not drive it, or allow it to be driven, while the required cover is absent or has expired. Notify us immediately if cover is cancelled, restricted or otherwise ceases to meet these requirements, stop using the vehicle and agree safe return arrangements with us.

PPG does not authorise, enter into, sign or guarantee external vehicle-hire, replacement-vehicle or credit-hire agreements. Our provision of a courtesy vehicle does not authorise an alternative hire arrangement. If you independently choose another provider, you have no authority to commit PPG to its charges or terms. Any separate funding decision made by our appointed insurer is for that insurer under its own arrangements and does not by itself create a separate payment promise or guarantee by PPG. We do not automatically agree to pay for inconvenience, loss of use, loss of earnings, recovery, storage or other ancillary expenses. This provision concerns our courtesy-vehicle offer and contractual authorisation; the legally recoverable losses and rights preserved in section 19.7 remain unaffected.

19.6 Evidence and costs. Any claim must identify its legal basis and be supported by reasonable evidence of the loss, its connection to the incident, its necessity and its amount. Contact us and the appointed insurer before incurring non-emergency costs where reasonably practicable, preserve relevant evidence and take reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary loss. Forward relevant quotations, agreements and itemised invoices. Receiving or forwarding these documents does not by itself approve their terms, rates or charges. We will not reject an otherwise valid claim solely because an unauthorised provider was involved.

19.7 Emergency action and preserved rights. You may take reasonable emergency steps required for safety or to prevent further damage, retaining evidence and receipts where practicable. Nothing in this section excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. It does not prevent recovery of reasonable repair, hire, recovery, storage or other losses where legally recoverable. PPG’s legal responsibilities do not depend on insurance cover, prior insurer approval or the insurer accepting the claim. You remain free to obtain independent advice, appoint a lawful representative and pursue your legal rights.

We will notify you when work is complete or the vehicle or item is ready for collection. Pay the agreed sums lawfully due by the agreed payment method and time, normally before release unless credit terms have been agreed. We will provide an itemised invoice on request and explain disputed charges. Pay any undisputed amount while a genuine dispute is considered; raising a dispute does not itself waive our rights or yours.

We may retain possession only where a valid legal right permits it for charges connected with the vehicle or goods concerned. This clause does not create a general right to hold unrelated property, demand payment of unlawful charges or prevent a statutory remedy. Any dispute about retention will be addressed promptly. Payment, collection or signing a receipt is not acceptance that hidden defects do not exist.

You must not obtain services through deception or with a dishonest intention not to pay, or knowingly submit false information in a payment dispute. We may challenge an unsupported chargeback with relevant evidence and pursue the full amount of any debt that remains legally due, after accounting for payments, refunds, valid remedies and sums already recovered. A chargeback is not automatically unlawful, and a genuine complaint, inability to pay or lawful exercise of consumer or payment rights does not by itself establish dishonesty. Before civil recovery action, we will explain the basis and amount of the claim and allow a reasonable opportunity to respond. We reserve the right to claim reasonable debt-recovery expenses, court fees, interest and legal costs only to the extent recoverable under applicable law or awarded by a court. There is no automatic entitlement to all solicitor fees or collection charges, and no double recovery. Commercial late-payment interest and statutory compensation apply only to qualifying business debts, not consumer debts. Suspected fraud may be reported to the appropriate authorities on reasonable grounds; criminal allegations will not be used to pressure payment of a genuinely disputed civil debt.

Collect promptly after our ready-for-collection notice or agree an alternative arrangement. We allow six clear calendar days after the notice before storage charges can begin. Any charge begins no earlier than the seventh day after the notice and only after we have separately notified you in writing of the start date and rate.

The standard rate is £48 per calendar day including VAT, equivalent to £40 plus VAT at 20%, where disclosed before booking and reasonable for the storage actually provided. A lower reasonable charge will apply where necessary to avoid a disproportionate amount. We will not apply it retrospectively, duplicate another charge for the same storage, or charge for delay caused by us, our unjustified refusal to release, or time when we reasonably need the vehicle for a valid remedy. We will discuss reasonable collection arrangements where a dispute or practical difficulty arises.

An uncollected vehicle does not automatically become our property. Any proposed sale or disposal requires a valid legal basis, appropriate notices to relevant parties and compliance with the law applicable in Northern Ireland. Reasonable lawful costs may be deducted only as permitted, and any balance of proceeds must be accounted for to the person entitled to it. We do not claim an automatic right to sell after a fixed number of days.

05

Complaints & responsibility

Written complaints, remedies, liability and trade customers.

Our formal complaints procedure is conducted in writing. Please submit your complaint by email to info@prestigeperformancegroup.co.uk or by letter to Prestige Performance Group Ltd, 36A Donaghadee Road, Newtownards, BT23 7EU. You can also find these details on our Contact page. Include your name, booking or invoice reference, vehicle registration or module details, the grounds of your complaint, the outcome sought and any available supporting evidence. Formal findings and decisions will normally be provided by letter or email so there is a clear record. Telephone calls, social media posts and messages are not the designated channels for formal complaint correspondence; we will direct you to the written procedure, while recording and responding to concerns already received as required by law.

We will acknowledge receipt promptly, investigate without undue delay and provide a written response within 28 calendar days after receiving your complaint, or sooner where reasonably possible. If the investigation cannot reasonably be completed within that period, our response will explain the progress made, outstanding enquiries, the reason for the delay and the expected date of our final response. We will continue to keep you informed and make best efforts to resolve the complaint as quickly as possible. The 28-day deadline is an outer limit for our written response, not a waiting period before action.

This procedure does not prevent reasonable assistance or adjustments required by law, make a valid complaint or legal notice ineffective because of its format, or extend any statutory deadline for a remedy or refund. We will act promptly on urgent safety concerns. A request for prompt reporting is not a shortened legal limitation period.

Where legally appropriate, give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and put our work right. Consumer repeat performance must be at no cost, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. Where the legal conditions are met, you may instead be entitled to a price reduction, which can be up to the full price, and other available remedies. A price-reduction refund will be made without undue delay and within 14 days after we agree you are entitled to it, without a fee and by the original method unless expressly agreed otherwise.

We will not insist on repeated unsuccessful attempts, an unnecessary return journey, or inspection that unlawfully delays a remedy. Reasonable emergency or justified third-party work does not automatically invalidate a claim. We are not responsible for avoidable additional loss to the extent caused by unreasonable continued use, failure to mitigate or later alterations, rather than our breach.

If unresolved, we will give a reasoned final response and provide information about a suitable accredited alternative dispute resolution body and our participation position where legally required. These terms do not make ADR compulsory or prevent court proceedings, a lawful card dispute, or contact with Trading Standards or an adviser. A reversed payment does not itself settle whether an underlying debt is legally due, and we will not seek double recovery.

We are responsible for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is obvious or we both knew it might happen when the contract was made. We do not impose a blanket service-price cap on consumer claims or exclude damage to a vehicle caused by our negligence.

We are not responsible for an existing defect, normal wear, unrelated subsequent fault, inaccurate information, customer-supplied item or third-party intervention to the extent that it caused the loss independently of our breach. Hidden or multiple faults may emerge during or after work; timing alone does not establish who caused them. We remain responsible for the particular service and any outcome we actually agreed.

Tell us before booking if the vehicle is used commercially or if an unusual foreseeable loss depends on completion by a particular time, so we can consider the request. This does not remove rights relating to losses that were otherwise reasonably foreseeable. Section 2 applies throughout.

A consumer is an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. A business name on an invoice does not by itself decide status. This section applies only to a customer acting mainly for business purposes.

Trade customers must have authority to instruct work and provide relevant technical information and restrictions. Where they resell our service, they are responsible for their own promises to their customer. We are responsible for the commitments we make to the trade customer and cannot retrospectively remove them.

For business contracts only, and subject to section 2 and applicable reasonableness requirements, we exclude loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity, anticipated savings and goodwill, and indirect or consequential commercial loss. We do not introduce an automatic cap on physical vehicle damage or attempt to exclude every recovery, hire or remedial cost regardless of its cause. Any additional negotiated business liability cap must be expressly agreed before contracting and satisfy applicable law.

Further information

Delays, records, governing law and cancellation form.

An appointment time is the planned start or arrival time; a completion deadline is guaranteed only if agreed as such. We will provide realistic timescales, notify you of material delay and take reasonable steps to reduce disruption. Supplier, equipment, network or staffing problems do not give us an unlimited right to keep your payment or postpone work indefinitely.

If an event outside our reasonable control materially prevents completion, we will discuss alternatives. You retain rights to end the contract for legally qualifying delay or breach and to recover payment for services not supplied, less any lawful charge for authorised work properly completed. We are not liable for delay only to the extent the law excuses it and it was not caused by our failure to take reasonable care.

Threats, harassment, violence or discriminatory abuse may lead to work being paused, contact arrangements being restricted or the contract being ended reasonably. A respectful complaint or disagreement is not abuse. Ending work does not cancel our duty to account for payments, safeguard property and arrange lawful return or collection.

We may keep relevant job records, communications, photographs, diagnostic readings and software files for service delivery, evidence, warranty administration and other lawful purposes explained in our privacy notice. We will process personal information lawfully, keep it secure and retain it no longer than reasonably necessary. This clause is not blanket consent to marketing or publication of identifying information.

Where technically possible and included in the agreed service, we will take reasonable backup precautions and explain material data risks. A virtual read is not a complete backup. We do not promise indefinite storage of every original file, but this does not excuse negligent data loss or prevent access to records where required by law. Customer-specific diagnostic findings will be provided within the agreed service scope; third-party software licences and intellectual property do not automatically transfer. Intellectual-property terms do not override data-access rights or our obligations to provide necessary service information.

Northern Ireland law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protection law that applies. Nothing deprives a consumer of a right to bring proceedings in a court available to them under applicable law. For business customers, the courts of Northern Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If a term is not enforceable, the remaining terms continue only so far as the contract can lawfully operate without it; an unfair consumer term is not made fair simply by adding 'where permitted by law'. A delay in exercising a right is not a waiver. Neither party may use a general entire-agreement clause to cancel legally binding pre-contract information, liability for misrepresentation or consumer rights. Changes to an agreed service need both parties' agreement. Specific terms prevail over general terms only where clearly supplied and validly agreed, and never over mandatory rights.

Advance notice of amendments. We will notify affected customers in advance by email of any proposed amendment to these terms that may affect their rights. The email will explain the proposed change, its effect, the intended commencement date and whether agreement is required, allowing reasonable time to consider it before it is intended to take effect. Notices will be sent to the email address supplied for the booking or contract; please keep that address current. Where an amendment requires your agreement, we will request express acceptance by email, signature or a recorded confirmation. Failure to respond or acknowledge the notice does not itself constitute acceptance. An email notice or website update does not by itself amend an existing contract. Changes to an existing contract require valid agreement unless required by law. Amendments will not retrospectively remove rights or introduce restrictions that were not validly agreed. For a new booking, the applicable terms will be supplied before the contract is made. We retain an internal reference and a copy of the terms accepted for each new online booking; that reference is separate from the original effective date displayed on this page. We will supply the required terms and cancellation information in a durable form, such as the body of an email, before service performance begins.

Written objections. Any objection to a proposed amendment must be submitted in writing, by letter or email, for formal consideration. Please identify the proposed change, explain your objection and include your booking or contract reference. We will consider and respond to the objection before asking you to agree to the proposed change. Submitting an objection does not waive your rights, and a failure to object does not by itself amount to agreement. This written procedure does not override legally required assistance or make an otherwise valid legal notice ineffective because of its format.

Check the service, total price or charging rate, authorised time or spending limit, relevant limitations and any warranty or promised outcome. Tell us what you need clarified. We will record your instructions and additional approvals. Where early performance consent is needed, we will request it separately. Receiving a vehicle, accepting payment or a generic signature does not by itself prove informed acceptance of undisclosed terms or risks.
